I have been so excited about this post from the minute she DM'd me on Instagram. In a wild spree of following some new people that had a #wrightsvillebeach or #wilmingtonnc tag associated with them (I love to follow people that live in the same area as me), I found Melissa. Or she found me rather, because when she reached out to me we instantly hit it off and set a date for a couples shoot!
A little background on Melissa- she is crazy good, insanely talented, and also holds the title of mom and wedding photographer extraordinaire. She bounces around from Nashville, to Kentucky, and most recently here in Wilmington, photographing weddings, real estate, boudoir, anything you need I'm pretty sure she can master.
Since she is new to the Wilmington area, I figured a beach shoot would give her the best taste of what the 910 was all about and it did not disappoint! We were blessed on this day with hardly any wind, a gorgeous sunset, and the best lighting (a bloggers dream). The water was cold, my boys were kept at attention with a tennis ball (thanks dad), and I cannot wait for Klein to pop the question in the future so that we can do this with Melissa all over again!
Not only was the turn around time incredibly fast, but as you can see from the photos I've chosen, she is truly amazing at what she does. Choosing my favorites out of almost 100 photos was no easy task, but I tried to pick at least my top 10 (I failed, I chose more than that) and I am so excited to get some of these framed in our house. I will link Melissa'a social media accounts and websites and I highly recommend reaching out to her for any photography needs, she did mention she is running some great deals since she is new around here! ;)
